Presentation
Invite the child to put on the apron and carefully carry the materials to the work area. Show how to set up the dishwashing station with calm, deliberate movements. Demonstrate each step in order:
- Set up the work area: Place the two basins on the table. Position the drying rack and arrange all materials neatly on the tray: pitcher, pail, brush, soap dispenser, sponge, drying cloth, cleaning cloth, and apron.
- Put on the apron: The child begins the activity by putting on the apron, preparing for real work.
- Bring and pour water: The child fills the pitcher with clean water at the sink, pours it into the basins, and adds a small amount of soap to one basin.
- Wash the dishes: Using the brush, the child gently scrubs each dish in the soapy water and rinses it in the second basin with clean water.
