This set includes all materials needed for a child to practice polishing a glass/mirror:
* A white plastic tray with handles
* A heart-shaped handheld mirror
* A small glass bowl (caster cup)
* A plastic bottle for polishing liquid (prepared by the teacher using a mixture of vinegar and water)
* A sponge
* A soft cloth for drying and polishing
* A white vinyl mat used as a work surface
This practical life activity supports the development of independence, concentration, and fine motor skills, while teaching children to care for their environment.
Recommended for ages 2½ years and up.
PRESENTATION:
Bring the tray to the table. Unroll the mat and place it on the table. Set out the materials: the caster cup, a damp sponge, and a cloth. Place the tray above the mat. Pour a few drops of polish liquid into the caster cup. Take the sponge and apply the liquid to the mirror, moving from top to bottom and side to side. Return the sponge to the caster cup. Use the cloth to remove the liquid. Inspect the mirror and admire its shine.
To clean up:
At the sink, rinse the sponge and wipe the caster cup with a utility sponge.
Replace the cloth if needed.
Wipe the mat with the utility sponge if necessary.
Roll up the mat and place it back on the tray.
