Sorting with Small Beads and Tongs is a classic Montessori Preliminary Exercise that helps children refine their fine motor coordination and develop the pincer grip — an essential foundation for writing and other daily tasks.

Children love using tongs to transfer shiny beads from one bowl to another. This simple, purposeful activity encourages concentration, careful movement, and independence. Each repetition strengthens hand muscles and coordination while offering a sense of calm and accomplishment.

Montessori Language & Math Material for Sensorial Tracing

This wooden tracing set provides children with a tactile and visual introduction to letters, numbers, and math symbols, following Montessori principles of concrete-to-abstract learning.

Each board features engraved characters that can be traced with the fingers or a wooden stylus, helping children internalize the shape and directionality through muscle memory. A small dot in the lower-right corner guides proper orientation.

Transferring with tongs helps develop fine motor control, concentration, hand strength and hand-eye coordination.

These Small Stainless Steel Tongs are a simple, purposeful tool for Montessori Practical Life activities. Their compact size and smooth, rounded ends make them suitable for children to grasp, squeeze and use when transferring small objects from one bowl or container to another.
